In today’s Pink Un, Craig Bailey writes how it was a night to remember as Norwich City Fans Social Club held their annual quiz night at Carrow Road.
The room was filled with excitement and anticipation as participants geared up for an epic battle of wits. The Forces2Canaries team came in with high hopes of completing their hat-trick, but it wasn’t meant to be, as they finished in third place behind Trust Us and The Extratimers.
The tie-break question caused palpable tension, with the audience waiting in silence. And, when the answer was finally revealed, it was The Extratimers who came out on top, winning the quiz and taking home the spoils. The quiz master, Michael Bailey, couldn’t help but acknowledge the magnitude of the occasion and the drama that was akin to waiting for the outcome of a Mario Vrančić injury-time free-kick. A special mention must also go to the NCFC Bookkeepers, who claimed the wooden spoon.
The night was not just about the quiz, however, as a fantastic amount was raised for the Community Sports Foundation. The event, sponsored by Fosters Solicitors, raised a whopping £3,533, much to the delight of the NCFSC team. There were also several auction prizes up for grabs, including a Norwich City signed home shirt, Tim Krul signed gloves, a three-course meal and glass of prosecco at Delia’s restaurant, and more.
The night was a fantastic success, and the NCFSC team is already looking forward to next year.
