Mental Health Awareness Evening 2025

The Norwich City Fans’ Social Club (NCFSC) is proud to announce our first major event of 2025: the Mental Health Awareness Evening, to be held in the Gunn Club on Thursday 23rd January.

Doors open at 6:15 pm, and the evening promises to be an inspiring and informative event for fans and the wider community.

It’s free to attend, with free car parking and a raffle for the Community Sports Foundation.

Special Guests

We’re thrilled to welcome an incredible line-up of guest speakers, including:

  • Emiliano Marcondes, NCFC midfielder, who will share his personal experiences and insights into mental health in professional football.
  • Matt Miller, Senior Performance Psychologist at NCFC, discussing the importance of mental wellbeing for success both on and off the pitch.
  • Representatives from 26 mental health organisations, showcasing the incredible work being done locally to support mental health.
  • All hosted by NCFC legend and friend of the Social Club, Darren Eadie.

A key feature of the evening will be the presence of 26 leading mental health organisations, offering resources, information, and opportunities for meaningful conversations.

Admission

Admission is free, and we warmly welcome all Norwich City fans and members of the local community to attend.

Community Sports Foundation

Driving inclusion for people with disabilities, boosting mental health & wellbeing, and supporting disadvantaged people to raise their aspirations.

Cup-O-T: Wellness & Therapy Services

An occupational therapy service for young people. Providing support & training to empower communities, young people & families.

Empathy

Provides support within Norfolk for people who have been bereaved through, or personally affected by, someone ending their own life.

Get Me Out The Four Walls

Offers peer support and informal social meets for parents and carers, living in Norfolk & Suffolk to overcome social isolation.

LiftLoudForDanny

Raising awareness, improving outcomes and promoting positive wellbeing. For those with mental health difficulties & their carers.

MAN v FAT

A program that helps men lose weight and improve their health with weekly football matches, online support, and tips.

MAP

Advisers, counsellors, youth workers and other professionals working together to provide the best support we can to young people aged 11-25.

An award winning, FA affiliated, support network and football league based in Norfolk for Dads, Step-Dads and Dads to be.

MensCraft

Supports boys and men of all ages facing life’s challenges or experiencing difficulties with their mental health.

Nelson’s Journey

Supporting children and young people in Norfolk with their bereavement needs, helping them to understand and cope with their feelings.

NHS Talking Therapies

We provide a range of support for people with common mental health and emotional issues, such as low mood, depression or stress.

Norfolk & Waveney MIND

Our services are organised around 4 key areas: Personalisation & Recovery, Psychological Therapies, Social Inclusion, and Wellbeing.

North Walsham Men’s Shed

We work for the community in the community, and the project helps individuals feel part of their local community.

Op COURAGE

An NHS mental health specialist service designed to help serving personnel due to leave the military, reservists, armed forces veterans and their families.

Perinatal Community Mental Health Team (NSFT)

We work with women who are at risk of experiencing severe mental illness during the antenatal & postnatal period.

Recovery College (NSFT)

Provides free educational workshops & courses for anyone over the age of 16 in Norfolk & Suffolk, designed to support people to invest in their own wellbeing.

Reframe Coaching

We are a registered charity founded in 2020 that supports individuals who have suffered from a gambling addiction or gambling related harm.

S&L Safe Cut Kits

S&L Safe Cut Kits put together safety and prevention kits specifically designed to support individuals who are affected by self-harm.

Samaritans

A charity aimed at providing emotional support to anyone in emotional distress, struggling to cope, or at risk of suicide throughout Great Britain & Ireland.

The Man Cave

An online group for men of all ages to join up to discuss all mental health issues.

The Offside Trust

Raising awareness of the importance of safeguarding across all sports at all levels.

Provides free wellbeing support for anyone who has experienced pregnancy loss at any stage, baby loss or pregnancy choices.

Walk & Talk EA

Just a bunch of lads who meet for a cuppa and a walk every couple of weeks to help support each other.
