Family Fun Evening – Friday 2nd August 2024
Sunshine and smiles at our Family Fun Evening!
Article by Connor Southwell.
There was plenty of sun, stalls and smiles as Norwich City Fans’ Social Club held their Family Fun Evening at The Nest on Friday.
It was an evening of entertainment, activities and competitions for all the family. Fun was had by all in attendance, from those completing a treasure hunt involving England’s Euro 2024 heroes, to the fantastic raffle.
This event has now become an annual one, designed for an affordable but varied day out for families. The queues for the face painter, Sandra, were lengthy, whilst energy was burned off in the excellent Challenge Woods.
The inflatable goal provided the home for some penalty practice, while plenty paused for refreshment in the form of ice creams and delicious sausage rolls.
Inside, there was an opportunity to take a break from the sunshine in an attempt to win prizes. Kate managed to successfully guess that there were 153 sweets in the jar, whilst youngsters Alfie and Jack correctly guessed the names of our two Norwich City supporting bears, Archie and Millie.
All 12 raffle prizes were claimed by different winners, with plenty of money raised for the Community Sports Foundation in the process.
We thank everyone who attended the event, including Norwich City board member and CSF trustee Tom Smith and his family, for making it such a success. It was brilliant to see so many smiles on faces.
Make sure you join us for our next event on Thursday evening, 15 August, in the Norfolk Lounge at Carrow Road – a fans’ forum hosted by Darren Eadie, accompanied by three Norwich City first-team players, whose names we will confirm very soon!
