Mental Health Awareness Evening takes centre stage at Carrow Road

Norwich City Fans’ Social Club is gearing up to host a transformative Mental Health Awareness Evening on Thursday, 18th January at Carrow Road. The event kicks off at 7pm, and admission is free.

Hosted by Norwich City legend Darren Eadie, the evening features distinguished guests, including current Norwich City footballer Onel Hernández and goalkeeper George Long.

Also appearing as guests will be former Health Minister and North Norfolk MP, Sir Norman Lamb; local GP and Clinical Mental Health Lead for NHS Norfolk and Waveney, Dr Ardyn Ross; plus the former Chief Pharmacist for Norfolk mental health services, Professor Stephen Bazire MBE.

What sets this event apart is the participation of 22 respected local mental health groups.

Ranging from MIND, providing invaluable support for anyone facing mental health challenges. To Duncan’s Club, supporting individuals with dementia. And Get Me Out The Four Walls, connecting parents and carers to overcome social isolation.

This isn’t just a night of awareness, it’s also a space for understanding and finding the right support.

From general wellbeing to specific health concerns, find the resources and connections that fit your needs.

With groups such as the Wellbeing Service, Active Norfolk, Match of the Dads, and the NHS Perinatal Team, attendees can find tailored support for various aspects of mental health.

The night promises valuable insights into mental health in the sporting world, along with opportunities to connect with a diverse selection of mental health groups.
