Quiz Night – 13th April 2016
What a brilliant evening – Thank you for your support!
Our Press Release
The Norwich City Fans Social Club enjoyed further success last Wednesday night as a fantastic turnout of 32 teams packed the Top of the Terrace at Carrow Road for their Quiz Night to raise money for the Community Sports Foundation.
The event was organised to support Norwich City’s Head of Marketing, Ed Guichard, CSF, Lewis Plowman, former player, Lewis Blois, and fan, Rob Swain, who will be taking to the streets of London on Sunday 24th April to run in this year’s Virgin London Marathon to also raise vital funds for the Community Sports Foundation.
The general knowledge & sporting questions based on the theme for the evening ‘’ it’s a marathon not a sprint’’ were delivered by the mischievous Norwich City legend Darren Eadie, which led to an evening of laughter, entertainment and a keenly fought fight for supremacy.
The battle for the top of the league was won by Canary Faithfuls who finished on 83 points; with three teams tied in joint second place on 82 points, Archant, FC Carpet and Little Yellow Birds. Last year’s competitive champions NCFC Carrow Road, led by David McNally, finished a respectable 8th but they will be back at next season’s quiz without a doubt to try and regain their title.

In addition to the money raised from the raffle, a 2014/15 Play Off framed, signed shirt was auctioned by Darren Eadie; which raised a massive £310 alone.
Once again NCFSC is indebted to all of you for your fantastic support and to Norwich City FC for their continued backing and assistance for our group. The quiz was a huge success and raised £1,800 on the night for the Community Sports Foundation; making a total of £3,000 for the season.
