Social Evening – 20th April 2017

They think it’s all over – it is now!

If you thought the season was petering out to a boring finish, you didn’t see the competitive Jenga playing going on at Carrow Road last week.

Even Delia joined in the Jenga in a fun game against fans, along with other members of the board, at the Norwich City Fans Social Club season closing get-together on Thursday – and not many clubs can say that!

One particularly epic round saw Pink Un pundit Michael Bailey, “Tales of the City” author Mick Dennis, commercial director Ben Kensell and Canaries director Tom Smith fight it out with the fans’ team to take the honours after 30 minutes of tension-tightening tactics.

A great night was had by all who attended the free event, with a surprise appearance by Sporting Director, Stuart Webber, who looked relaxed as he chatted to fans at the very informal evening to celebrate another successful year for the social club.

Who else was there? Well, just Cedric Anselin, Rob Butler, Chris Goreham, Terry Allcock, Michael Wynne Jones, Steve Stone to name but a few…..if you weren’t there you were definitely square.

After another great year of events – a players’ forum with favourites Ivo Pinto, Jonny Howson and Jacob Murphy; a charity quiz night; a football pundits’ session; a Canary Legends evening and a Q&A with MD Steve Stone – we’re looking forward even more to next year’s events.

Along the way, this season we’ve raised £4000 for the Community Sports Foundation and can’t wait to see how our local footballers with learning difficulties are going to do at the National Special Olympics in the summer – a trip the social club paid for with last season’s donations.

Want to see more interesting events for a bargain £3 per event next season? Look out for what we’ve got planned or suggest an event for us to organise. We’re all ears, contact us on here by email to contact@ncfsc.co.uk or on twitter @NorwichCityFSC or on our facebook page Norwich City Fans Social Club.
