Quiz Night – 24 Sep 2025
A fantastic night of fun, facts & fundraising!
Article by Peter Quinn.
On Wednesday, September 24th, Norwich City Fans Social Club hosted a lively and entertaining Quiz Night at The Gunn Club, in the heart of Carrow Road.
The evening was expertly hosted by local sports journalist Connor Southwell, with questions crafted by social club volunteer Amy Seago.
A battle of wits
33 teams battled it out across eight testing rounds. Topics ranged from Name the Author, Sport to History, TV & Film, True or False, and even Rock Icons across the Decades.
Team names like ‘Quizpute Resolution,’ ‘No Núñez Is Good Núñez,’ and ‘Only Here for the Chips’ kept the atmosphere light and competitive, all while enjoying delicious hot chips, nibbles, and refreshments from the licensed bar.
We were also chuffed to welcome teams from Norwich City Football Club and Fosters Solicitors.
It proved to be a tight contest with the top three teams separated by just two points. But when the final scores were in, the victorious quiz team was ‘Normal for Norfolk,’ who took home the winners trophy.
More than just a quiz
In addition to the quiz, a half-time Heads or Tails game, a prize auction and, of course, the obligatory social club raffle helped to boost the evening’s fundraising efforts.
Some of the highly sought-after auction prizes included an NCFC home shirt signed by the current Norwich City squad, a fantastic Media Matchday Experience at Carrow Road, and a 4-ball at the Royal Norwich Golf Club.
Meanwhile, the raffle offered plenty of chances to win, with prizes such as a £30 meal voucher for The Murderers pub, a £15 voucher for A Piece Of Cake Tea Rooms in Coltishall, and a £20 Slater Menswear voucher.
Making a difference
Thanks to everyone who generously donated auction and raffle prizes, and also to those who helped organise the quiz on the night.
We are delighted to announce the evening raised £3,072 for the Community Sports Foundation, Norwich City Football Club’s official charity, supporting the Foundation’s life-changing community programmes.
A huge thank you to everyone who came out to make the evening such a fantastic success for a great cause!
Finally, we’d like to give special thanks to our partner, Fosters Solicitors, and Norwich City Football Club for their invaluable support, helping us to put on these events.
