Writing in today’s Pink Un, Craig Bailey describes how Norwich City Fans Social Club has been busy raising funds for the Community Sports Foundation.
The club hosted a Family Fun Day at The Nest which was a resounding success. The event saw families engage in various games and activities, such as indoor and outdoor games, raffles, tombola, cake stalls, and BBQ refreshments. The event raised £850 for the foundation. As a thank you, the club’s volunteers were invited by the CSF to a three-course meal in the Legends Lounge before the Coventry game at Carrow Road, and were invited on the pitch to present the total amount raised for last season, which was £10,250.
In addition to the Family Fun Day, the club also held successful Sky Sports Super 6 and Fantasy Premier League events, raising another £900. The club has a quiz night scheduled for Wednesday, October 19, with all proceeds going towards the Community Sports Foundation. The event will feature chips, nibbles, an auction, and a raffle, and is sponsored by Fosters Solicitors. All tables for the quiz night are already sold out, but fans are encouraged to check the club’s website in case a spot becomes available.
Overall, the Norwich City Fans Social Club has raised a significant amount of money for a worthy cause which continues to support the community through sport.
