Social Night – 26th April 2018

For many Norwich fans, Christoph Zimmerman has been this season’s surprise package at Carrow Road.

As well as turning out to be such a talent on the pitch, he’s also a top bloke off it, and continued with the surprises by turning up unannounced at the season-closing NCFSC social night this week and showing off his considerable skills at Connect 4….

The event rounds off another busy season for us at the Norwich City Fans Social Club, run by us a group of volunteers, which brings you interesting and fun events such as player’s forums, legends evenings, quiz nights and many others.

Some of the guests from our previous events were there for an informal chance to chew over with fellow Canaries the results of this season and make predictions for the next over a drink or two and some pub game favourites.

It was also time to reveal the amount the social club has been able to donate to the Community Sports Foundation from all the fund raising activities this year.

With a fairly hefty target of beating last year’s £4000, it was very pleasing to be able to present £6500 this year to the CSF to use in their quest to help disabled and disadvantaged people of all ages and abilities enjoy sport. That’s in addition to the £650 raised by supporting the Pink Un’s Michael Bailey in his “Save or Shave” personal grooming challenge and £150 raised by social club volunteer Sophie in the 2017 Run Norwich event.

A free raffle for a team-signed football was won by regular event attendee Darell Allen.

While we’ve called it the season-closing event, in fact the social club doesn’t really have a closed season so look out for our summer events – coming soon!
