Bingo Night – 20 Nov 2025
Bingo Night brings warmth to a chilly Norfolk evening
Article by Peter Quinn.
A cold and rainy autumn evening didn’t dampen the spirits at Carrow Road, as eager bingo players packed into The Lion and Castle bar for a lively and good-natured Bingo Night hosted by Norwich City Fans Social Club.
Around 50 players joined in the fun, shaking off the November chill with plenty of laughs and friendly rivalry, while putting their bingo dabbers into action.
The atmosphere was upbeat from the start, thanks in no small part to bingo caller Emma, whose banter kept everyone smiling between numbers.
And the best part? An impressive £600 was raised for the Community Sports Foundation, the official charity of the Norwich City Football Club — an amazing result, thanks to your generosity.
Players walked away with a great mix of goodies, from packs of beer from local brewery Woodforde’s, gift vouchers for the Coltishall tea room, bottles of wine, and plenty of chocolate treats.
The full house wins stepped things up with a Royal Norwich Golf Club voucher, a signed framed photo of Norwich and England legend Chris Woods, and a Darlington Crystal cheeseboard with a selection of cheeses (congratulations to young Emily on winning this!). Prizes that proved popular with Canaries fans included a £20 Norwich City club shop voucher, Gunn Club matchday passes, and a Josh Sargent 24/25 home shirt.
The cash bingo game offered a simple but exciting £30 cash prize, and the social club raffle added even more fun with a framed and signed Norwich City shirt, Christmas jumpers, boxes of luxury chocolate biscuits, and even a signed copy of Delia Smith’s festive cookbook.
Thank you to everyone who braved the cold to join us on the night. Special thanks to our social club partner, Fosters Solicitors, and Norwich City Football Club whose generous support and assistance makes nights like this possible.
